>THE THOUGHT BEHIND THE EXPERIMENT.

I am very excited to welcome you to The Essence Experiment. I am not going to lie, I got the idea from that wonderful Pepper Project( [link] ). I love the concept of different artist taking a character and interpreting it in there own way and style. An artist is nothing with out his or her ability to interpret concepts. But of course i don't want to reproduce the project i want to take the project evolve it and take it one step further. I don't want to draw the character for you to re draw in your own style. So what i want to do is make a detailed description about the character AND describing his personality. Then a summary of where the character grew up. Why because environment and life experiences change everything from fashion to personality. This is where the experiment gets interesting every artist will have the same info to work with, but because of the ARTIST'S own life experiences the artist interpretation of this character will always be different. Exciting.Most importantly every month i will add life events to the charecter that will make him change as a person and/ or possibly grow as an individual. are u willing to accept the challenge?

>WHO CAN SUBMIT ARTWORK TO THE EXPERIMENT AND WHAT CAN BE SUBMITTED?

If you call yourself an artist you are allowed to submit to THE EXPERIMENT. Just so you know I am very interested in the interpretation of the character so all forms of art can be submitted including: drawings,paintings,photography,film,dance,graffiti,sneaker designs,poetry,urban low brow, any form of digital media, graphic design and so on. it is in your hands, but please keep in mind you must follow the rules that i will mention below later on.

>WHAT DOES THE ARTIST GET OUT OF IT?

Every month i will b collecting everything that was submitted from the first of the month to the last of the month. and creating a poll. the artist whom artwork receives the most votes will receive a one year subscription to deviantart added onto there membership. so if you win two months in a roll you get a 2 year subscription etc etc. if you don't win you can try again the next month with a new art piece. EVERYONE will get free promotion from this by placing any info you want added to your artworks description.

>WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR SUBMISSION?

ALL forms of artwork that you want to submit MUST be uploaded into your gallery. the artwork MUST have the words "The Essence Experiment" on it anywhere. In your description you MUST have a link to the essence experiment deviantart page. every piece of art MUST have a description as to there concept. The Art work must have something to do with the description on the Character. Remember everything u place on the description will be placed with your submission.
